About

About Teri Politically

I was the Provo City Franklin Neighborhood Chair. As chair, I would broadcast our monthly neighborhood meetings on social media so my neighbors can watch when they have time. Every month I ask speakers to come and help our neighborhood be informed of the issues that affect us. I also advocate for my neighbors and their needs to the City Council and Mayor.

I have been on the annual conference committee for Mormon Women for Ethical Government, which encourages women of faith to be ambassadors of peace who transcend partisanship and advocate for ethical government.

I also volunteered with the Franklin Elementary School PTA and I was previously on the Provo City Library Board (The best library in Utah!).

During the 2019 Utah State Legislative Session, I testified on behalf of HB 129 to allow political campaign money be used for child care. It was in the Deseret News.

I have been volunteering with the Utah Infertility Resource Center Advocacy Committee each legislative session. During the 2017 Utah State Legislative Session, Utah Infertility Resource Center was able to obtain a $45,000 RFP for infertility demographic research, sponsored by Senator Luz Escamilla. I wrote the preliminary study and handed it off to the Gardner Policy Institute to conduct the research. For the 2018 Legislative Session Senator Luz Escamilla and Rep LeVar Christensen sponsored SB 181, which is an Infertility Insurance Coverage Pilot Program for three years for state employees. As part of the Utah Infertility Resource Center Advocacy Committee, we were able to gather support from the infertility community to contact our legislators to get this bill passed.

During the 2006 Utah State Legislative Session, along with other Certified Athletic Trainers and sponsored by Rep. Paul Ray, the Utah Athletic Trainer Licensure Act was passed.
